⛳ All Tournament Format: Florida Scramble

The Florida Scramble is an ideal tournament format because it promotes team strategy, ensures fairness across diverse skill levels, speeds up play by minimizing delays from difficult shots, and keeps the experience fun and inclusive for everyone—perfect for charity events aiming to maximize participation, engagement, and fundraising success.

1. Team Structure

  • Each team consists of 4 players.

  • Maximum of 36 teams (144 total players).

2. Starting the Tournament

  • Shotgun start (all teams tee off simultaneously from different holes).

  • Two teams assigned per hole (e.g., Hole 1A & 1B, Hole 2A & 2B).

3. How to Play (Florida Scramble Rules)

  • All four players tee off on every hole.

  • After teeing off, the team selects the best shot to use.

  • Important Format Rule – Florida Scramble Shot Rotation
    • The player whose shot is selected does not hit the next shot.

      Example:
If Player A’s drive is chosen, only Players B, C, and D hit the second shot.
If Player C’s shot is then selected, Players A, B, and D take the third shot — and so on.

    • Once the team reaches the green, all four players are eligible to putt until the hole is completed.

This rotation ensures equal team contribution while adding strategic depth and fun to the game.

4. Scorekeeping

  • Each hole results in a single team score.

  • Use provided team scorecards or Golf Pad Events app for digital scoring.

5. Contests and Prizes

  • Team Prizes:

    • 1st Place: $1,000

    • 2nd Place: $500

    • 3rd Place: $200 (refund of entry fee)
